Sylvia and I just came back from Rio... There are really no exact words to describe this city. It is magical, beautiful, mystic, poor, rich and sexy and most of all it is all about samba and caipirinha (their national drink which we have adopted very quickly!). It was actually a great vacation and I am having an extremely hard time in adopting myself back to normal now hehe! If anybody did not watch "city of god", you guys should...there you all see the favellas which is all around in Rio. I actually never knew that "gecekondu"s were imported globally! And the "christo" statue on top of Rio is magnificent...I might just adopt christianity..he is really welcoming me over there. This must be my destiny! Hey, I wished you girls were there with us... it reminded so much of our New Orleans -- Canada -- Miami trips!
Hope to have some more of them sometime -- maybe this time with JOEY!
